Hi! I'm Jimmy Joe Jenkins
I've been an artist for as long as I can remember.
My work has donned the walls (and concrete) throughout the world in the form of canvas paintings, sculpture, and large murals.Â
My life's works are displayed (and for sale) at the Cowtown Twenty Five Art Gallery in Beaufort, SC.
I work with all kinds of mediums, interestingly enough - using common house paint for the majority of my paintings.
I also work with clients to create amazing custom pieces that are one of a kind and perfect for each individual space.
My peony design for this denim jacket workshop was inspired by a mural design I did for a fellow artist friends' backyard patio.

- You'll grab the supply list that's included and select your desired paint colors. I've also included links for where to purchase these supplies if you don't already have them on hand.
- I'll give you my color selections, but you can choose different colors if you want! It's YOUR design!
- Use one of your own denim jackets, go thrifting for one, or shop online!
- Module 2: Prepping for Painting Transfer Template onto your jacket.
- This module will give you information on how to pre-wash your jacket and how to prep for the painting.
- Included in this module is a traceable template (if you don't want to freehand)Â

Module 3:Â Painting Your Design
This module contains several videos taking each step slowly, and easy to understand.- Sketch the Design Outline

You'll learn how to use a fabric pencil, chalk, or washable marker to lightly sketch the floral and dragonfly design on the back of the jacket.

Plan the placement, proportions, and composition to fit nicely within the jacket’s panel.

- Base Color Blocking

Begin with the base colors of the flowers, leaves, and dragonfly.

Use fabric paints or acrylic paints mixed with textile medium for flexibility.

Don’t worry about fine details yet—focus on covering the main areas with solid colors.

- Highlights, shadows, and fine details are next for petal textures, leaf veins, and the intricate wings.
- Brush recommendations for detail work
- Blending techniques for a more natural, soft look.
